Transfer of Priests
The Chancellor of the Diocese of Cochin Very Rev. Fr. Regin Joseph Thomas Alungal (41) passed away. He has been serving as the Diocesan Chancellor since April 2021.
He was born on August 29, 1981 to Alunkal Joseph and Thresyamma, in Chandiroor. He completed his primary education at Pattanakkad Public School. He took his degree from Chenganoor Engineering College and Masters Decree from CUSAT. He worked as Assistant Professor at Government Engineering College, Cherthala.
The Annual Women's Meeting of WIDS was conducted on 27th August 2022, at Alpha Pastoral Centre, Edacochi. Vicar General Rev. Msg. Shaiju Pariyathussery presided over the function and the Kerala High Court Justice Shobha Annamma Eepan inaugurated the meeting.
Wids Zonal meeting was conducted on 08th August 2022 at Casa Gesu Bambino hall, Perumpadappu. CSSS director Rev. Fr. Augustine Kadeparambil, Santa Cruz Church parish priest Rev. Fr. Andrews Kattiparambil, diocesan officials of WIDS and members of Edacochi Zone have participated in the meeting.
This is to inform you all about the sad demise of our dear Rev. Fr. Joseph Vadakkeveettil, on Tuesday, 14th June, 2022, at 10, 20 am. We deeply mourn the sudden demise and stand by the bereaved family as support and strength.
The mortal remains of Rev. Fr. Joseph Vadakkeveettil will be available to pay homage, from Wednesday (15.06.2022) 7.00 am at his residence, Neendakara. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm at St. Sebastian's Church, Neendakara.

Bishop Joseph Kariyil ordained six new deacons for the Diocese of Cochin on 12th May 2022. They are: Dn. Joseph Josmon, Dn. Nikhil Xavier, Dn. Nikhil Jude, Bibin George, Dn. Derin Vaz, and Dn. Sachin P. J.

Bishop Kariyil appointed Rev Fr Shaiju Pariyathusserry as the new Vicar General of the Diocese.
